Terry Childs

Terry was born in Fredericksburg, Virginia on February 21, 1948 and grew up in Rochester, New York. Terry met his wife Rita in high school and they married in 1973. They began their family with the birth of Laura in Germany and Brian arrived soon thereafter while Terry was stationed in Virginia. Terry served honorably in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years. During that time, his career took he and Rita to Germany, Virginia, Mississippi, and finally to Colorado where he retired. After retiring from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant, Terry continued his career in training course development. He enjoyed traveling, golfing, hiking, biking, spending time with his family and helping others. Terry was taken away from his family far too soon. He passed away on May 28, 2014. What his family will remember about Terry is that he was a loving and devoted husband, father and Papa. He was kind, funny and genuine. Terry is preceded in death by his mother, Myra D. Childs. Terry is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Rita, his father, Ted Childs, his brothers, Bob Childs and Dave Childs, his children, Laura (Brian) Hass and Brian Childs, his granddaughters Emily Hass and Sara Hass and his favorite pet, Dusty . The funeral mass will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 4 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a military honors presentation at Ft.
