Joseph David Fowler, Jr.

Joseph D. Fowler, Jr., 73, of Parker, CO, passed away with family at his side on January 9, 2020. Joe was born May 8, 1946 in Drexel Hill, PA to JD and Alice (League) Fowler. On August 12, 1996 he married Sylvia at Cataract Lake, CO. Retired as the Director of Parking and Transit for the City of Iowa City, IA, Joe was active in the Knights of Columbus at Ave Maria Catholic Church, delivering Meals on Wheels and volunteering at the Women’s Shelter Network. He enjoyed lively conversations with his brother-in-law, Dave, playing racquetball with his good friend John and walking his furry friends Willie and Stanley. Joe is survived by his wife, Sylvia, and Family in Port Orange, FL: Son, Michael (Kristin), Alex (Ben), Shea, Garrett, Macy, JD, Liam and Aria; Family in Western Springs, IL: Son, Shea (Courtney), Joshua, Jackson and Drew; Family in Castle Rock, CO: Son, Chad (Deb) Matthew, Kaylee, Tyler; Family in Portland, OR: Son, Ryan; Family in Orlando, FL: Uncle Dale, Lyrae (Karl). Joe was preceded in death by his parents, JD Fowler and Alice (League) Fowler, and his Aunt Carolyn with whom he had a very special relationship. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Ave Marie Catholic Church. A Reception at the Church will follow the Mass. Final Resting Place will be Seven Stones Chatfield. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Joe’s memory be made to Catholic Charities of Central Colorado, 228 N.
