Sandra Marie Busha
February 7th, 1968 - April 26th, 2020
Sandra Marie Busha, age 52, of Parker, CO passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2020. Sandy was born February 7, 1968 in El Paso, TX to Norma L. Press and Harry E. Press, Jr., the first and only daughter between three boys. She is preceded in death by her older brother Michael W. Press. Sandy graduated from Ponderosa High School. Sandy never met a stranger she didn’t like, and had the ability to make everyone laugh with her fun- loving and outgoing personality. Her wit was second to none and had a heart larger than life. She lit up any room she walked into; and, if you were ever in her presence, you were blessed with her beautiful smile. Her laugh was as contagious as the love she always shared. Sandy spent the last 9 months caring for the apple of her eye, her granddaughter, Raelynn. Challenged by merely texting, Sandy was definitely not a tech savvy person; however she took on the challenge of learning how to help school Raelynn at home during this pandemic. “Zooming is not easy”, she would say. Sandy was an Operations Support Services Specialist with Empower Retirement for many years. She was well loved by co-workers and friends. Sandy loved her Broncos, Nascar, and her fur babies. Her dream was to get Michael’s race car, #79, back out on the track. Sandy was very family orientated, and loved spending as much time with those she loved. She, also, loved spending time with the folks at the Hickory House who became her second family. Sandy is survived by her husband, Scott Busha, daughter, Mariah Nava, son C.J. Nava, granddaughter, Raelynn Longe, mother Norma L. (Rivas) Press, father Harry E. Press Jr., brothers Larry Press (Noelle) and Chuck Press (Michelle), Grandmother Beatrice (Nani) Rivas, uncles Bobby Press and Bill Rivas, aunts Marie Ybarra and Donna Rivas-Ramos, nephew Julian Press, several cousins and numerous friends. Sandy was bigger than life with a big heart and will be most remembered for her wit, the ability to make you laugh, and her beautiful smile. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed. You’ll never be far from our thoughts and the amazing, unconditional love you shared will always remain in our hearts. We love you Sandy!!! A virutal Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. The Mass may be viewed at https://youtu.be/xjBxnVoDNNk Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at St. Simeon Catholic Cemetery in Aurora, CO.
