Ingeborg Wallace
February 10th, 1937 - November 18th, 2020
On Wednesday, Nov.18, 2020, Ingeborg Emilie Wallace peacefully passed into God’s loving arms after battling kidney disease at the age of 83. Inge, as known by most everyone, was born in Krumbach, Germany on Feb. 10, 1937. Ingeborg was the middle child with older sister Lora and younger brother Peter. Inge was a World War II survivor and met her husband Norman when he was stationed in Germany. They were married in Germany where Michael the eldest and Robert were born. As with most servicemen they were stationed in Germany, Texas, Virginia where the youngest son Mark was born, Hawaii, Ft. Lewis, WA, and Browns, Illinois before finally settling down in Aurora, Colorado. Passionate about cooking, Inge pursued nutritionist and dietician classes. She started as a cook and worked her way up as a dietician at Camellia Care Center in Aurora where she was responsible for meals to more than 100 Camellia Care residents. Inge was known for her wonderful baked goods and cooking. Made from scratch apple pie, cream puffs, cheesecake, cabbage rolls, spaetzle and schnitzel are one of the few dishes she made so well. She loved gardening, interior decorating and most especially loved spoiling her grandchildren. Inge will be greatly missed by many, most especially by her three children – Michael (Phyllis) of Buford, Georgia , Robert (Debbie) of Spokane, Washington and Mark (Lucy) of Parker, CO. Inge is also survived by her brother Peter (Melitta) Schick Of Lorbach, Germany and brother in law Horst Stirn of Mannheim, Germany. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Tasha (Jonathane) Schmitt of Darrington WA, Tyler (Jenny), Joey (Carissa) of Spokane WA, William and Austin of Buford, GA, Tom and Sam of Parker, CO and four great grandchildren Mia, Kadence, Alexander and Wyatt. Also survived are beloved nieces Tina and Marion in Germany. Ingeborg was preceded in death by her husband Norman Wallace, her sister Lore Stirn, nephew Friedrich Stirn and great grandchild, Sydney Schmitt.
