Samuel C. Peppers
July 23rd, 1930 - July 18th, 2023
Samuel Clarence Peppers 1930 - 2023 Forever Laughing Forever Loving Forever Family Grace and Clark Ellis Peppers were the parents of Samuel C. Peppers, born on July 23, 1930, in Albertville, Alabama. On July 18, 2023, Sam passed away peacefully. He had one brother, Charles, and four sisters; Christine, Aleen, and Dorothy (who have previously passed), and is survived by his youngest sister, Helen. In addition, Sam’s family included many nieces and nephews. At 19 years old Sam married Barbara Faye Sanders on December 31, 1949, the love of his life. Barbara and Sam have a son, Clark Alan Peppers, (married to Diana Faye), a daughter, Sherry Lee NIcks (married to Scott), and a 2nd daughter, Beverly Renee Peppers, who passed away on March 30, 2020. Sam was affectionately known as “Grand Pa P” and has 2 granddaughters, Hayley May Luepke (married to Andrew) and Amanda Kay Peppers (married to Drake). On June 29th, 2023, the family was blessed with a great-grandson, Parker James Luepke, and GPa P became “Great-Grand Pa P”. Sam loved his family to the sky and back and lived life to the fullest. He never met a stranger and always made you feel like you were the best part of his day. Sam also loved making an occasional wager on football (Roll Tide), at the horse track, and playing poker. In many ways, he lived life like a gambler, “All In”. The stories he would tell and the ones we could tell! A pair of his cowboy boots will be placed upside down on a fence post at the Franktown Cemetery in memory of and respect for Samuel C. Peppers. When asked how he wanted to be remembered, Sam smiled and said say this about me, “Don’t Squat With Your Spurs On”. We will miss him and he will always be in our hearts forever. As we remember him, we will smile knowing he had a long and amazing life, laughing and loving his family. With all our love, The Peppers Family Memorial contributions may be made to Masonic Lodge Oostanaula Lodge # 113 207 Tolbert St Ne Rome, GA 30161 Private Family Graveside Services will be held Friday, July 21, 2023 at Franktown Cemetery.
