Phyllis Hope Johnson, 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 30, 2023. Hope was born in Robbinsville, NC on March 31, 1937. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Bryant Waldroup and Martha Alice May Waldroup; husband Charles Edward Johnson; son Timothy Carrol Waller; and siblings Jessie Mae Waldroup, Ernest Bill Waldroup, Anna Belle Purdy, Virginia Pearlene Beasley, Lee Roy Waldroup, Roma Joan Waldroup and Shelba Jean Hoffer. Hope was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, a most favored aunt to dozens of nieces and nephews, and Hope, Momma Hope or Granny Hope to many other family and friends. Hope worked many jobs throughout her years and retired as a manager of Harlow’s Donuts in Southaven, MS then relocated to Colorado. Hope enjoyed her retirement by taking care of others and traveling. Those left to celebrate her life and cherish her memory are her four daughters Tamara A. Waldrop of Newnan, GA, Traci W. Moody (Tim) of Colorado Springs, CO, Susan A. Booth (Derrick) of Batesville, MS, and Sally A. Gearhart of Southaven, MS; thirteen grandchildren, Dawn, Shannon, Samantha, Stephanie, Joey, Allison, AJ, Zac, Alissa, Elizabeth, Anna, Megan and Chance; fifteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, many beloved nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 4:00 pm MT at: Cross Fellowship Church 4808 Palmer Park Blvd Colorado Springs, CO 80915 And broadcast on https://www.youtube.com/@cfcpalmerpark Condolences may be sent to the family at: 5827 Uncompahgre St. Colorado Springs, CO 80923 In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Cross Fellowship Church; or Envision Healthcare at Home Attn: Cody Anderson 4548 Atherton Dr. #250 Taylorsville, UT 84143
