Laura Lynn McGinty

Laura L. McGinty, 68, of Parker, Colorado, formerly of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 16, 2020. She was born on November 22, 1951 in Rapid City, South Dakota. She grew up in Denver, Colorado where she met her loving husband, Michael, and raised their two sons. She loved lighthouses and traveling. While living in the Pacific Northwest, she combined her two loves by traveling the Pacific coast, across the country to the Great Lakes and up the East coast, visiting numerous lighthouses and connecting with friends and family along the way. She expanded on her love of travel on numerous occasions, traveling with friends and family to Alaska, Hawaii, Ireland, London and Paris, as well as her dream trip to Italy with her husband, sons and their wives where many incredible memories were made. Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Janet (Biddle) Kitzman. She is survived by her husband, her two sons and their wives, Ryan and Kim (Ciomber) McGinty, Devin and Paula McGinty; grandchildren, Michael and Kayla; her sister and husband, Janice and Don Kerschner; her two brothers and their wives, Wayne and Linda Kitzman, Scott and Linda Kitzman; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. All of whom she loved dearly. A Celebration of Life will be held in Colorado in late Spring. More details will be provided to family and friends at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the National MS Society or American Cancer Society.
