Cynthia Marie Brown
February 13th, 1958 - September 25th, 2020
Cynthia Brown, 62 Cynthia “Cindy” Marie Brown, 62, died September 25, 2020, with her family by her side in Arvada, Colorado. Cindy was born in 1958 to parents Charles “Charlie” Allard Brown and Marcella “Marci” Josepha Brown (Krenowicz) in Denver, Colorado. Cindy is survived by her two children, Vincent Lynn and Valerie Bartell (Lynn) and their spouses; and her three grandchildren, Lila, Winnie and Maxwell; her sister, Carol McGowan (Brown) and her spouse Michael McGowan and their children Katherine “Katie” McGowan and Kiley McGowan; and her former husband William Lynn. Cindy attended school in the Denver Metropolitan Area, and was a graduate of Northglenn High School. Cindy spent her career as a nurse, working for Saint Anthony Hospital for twenty-six years, and then later for Rocky Mountain Gastroenterology, before retiring at the end of 2019. As Cindy reflected upon her life, one of her proudest moments included earning her Associate Degree in Nursing, and becoming a Registered Nurse. In addition to being a hard-working mother with a passionate career in nursing, reflecting upon her life, she advised her grandchildren to make time for fun. During her life, Cindy enjoyed swimming, camping, fishing, cycling, and watching her beloved children and grandchildren grow. Though Cindy’s retirement was brief, her family treasures the many memories made with her in the past decade, including many vacations, Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners, and days babysitting grandchildren. Cindy passed away peacefully from advanced liver and kidney complications. A small celebration of life ceremony will be held by her family on October 9th at the Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster, CO. Anyone interested in attending should contact the family directly. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to Emily’s List, in Cindy’s memory.
