Janet Kaye Lewis

In Memory of Janet Kaye Lewis 1955-2021 Janet K. Lewis, age 66 of Westminster, passed away unexpectedly on August 12, 2021. Janet was born October 27, 1955 and was raised by her mother Geraldine Horton (Moore) and father Howard Horton in Westminster Colorado, where she spent most of her life. She is survived by her partner in life, Dennis Turner, sister Christina Potter, daughter Kimberley Downing (Michael), 2 grandchildren Savannah, Rylan and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Cynthia Ryan and John Potter. Janet attended Westminster High School and kept in touch with a lot of her high school friends over the years. She also had a few career opportunities in her life that gave her many life long friends. Janet was very caring and would do anything for her family and friends. She knew how to have a good time and was usually the life of the party. Her infectious laugh could be heard from across the room and she knew how to rip up a dance floor. She was brutally honest and didn’t take shit from anyone. That was just 1 reason why she was loved by so many. She had the best years of her life with her best friend and partner in life, Dennis. She was also extremely close with her daughter, son in-law and 2 grandkids. She loved them more than life itself. Janet loved sunsets and often took pictures of them. In honor of her, please enjoy each sunset you see and know that she is right there, enjoying it too. She has the most amazing view of them now. Get yourself a Bud Light, sit back and remember mom for all the joy she brought to everyone in her life. Damn it Janet! You will be missed greatly!
