Michael Joseph Lee
March 5th, 1955 - February 8th, 2021
Michael Joseph Lee, 65, died February 8, 2021 in Denver, CO. Mike was born in Omaha, NE, moving with his family to Colorado in 1968. He was a graduate of Arapahoe High School and Community College of Denver. Mike’s most memorable employment was in the Pike and San Isabel National Forests as a forestry technician. He was known as a kind and caring person who loved animals. Mike was actively engaged in various volunteer positions throughout his life, especially helping with public television fundraisers, caring for animals, and maintaining community gardens. He is survived by his brother, Patrick J. (Gail) Lee, and Mary E. (Robert) Lee-Nichols; nieces and nephews Colin, Andrea, Jayme, and Abby; Samuel and Josephine; and his most recent rescue cat, Trouble. He was preceded in death by his parents, John F. Lee and Dorothy L. Lee. Mike’s life will be celebrated at a later date when his ashes will become part of the Colorado mountains he loved so much.
