Sherrill Verdeen Kitto

Sherrill V. Kitto of Aurora, Colorado, passed away on October 24, 2021 at the age of 71 Born November 23rd, 1949 in Denver, CO to Lacey Odell Taylor and Hazel Nadine Stoughton passed on October 24th 2021 in Aurora, CO. Sherrill spent her earlier days around horses, riding and caring for them with her father. In 1967 Sherrill met Charles J. Kitto while attending High School. In 1969 they were married before beginning a family in Florida the following year. Sherrill later moved back to Colorado, settling in Aurora where she spent the rest of her life. She enjoyed family time especially birthdays and holidays and treated her family with baking and decorating cakes for her 7 children. Music was always a part of her life, she traditionally filled the home with tunes as well as singing and playing the piano. She also sought enjoyment by participating in the church choir. Throughout most of Sherrill’s life she considered herself Catholic and practiced her faith happily. She will be truly missed by her many family members and friends. Sherrill is preceded in death by her brother Lacey, Jr., parents Lacey, Nadine, and stepmother Margaret Taylor (Barnhill). She is survived by her sister Dolores (Gary) Barncord; nieces Kenneta Kraemer, Inde (Chris) Wissing, Lory Mercer, nephews Poncho and Eric Taylor; children Wendy (Rodd) Merchant, Charles Kitto Jr., Jennifer Kitto, Jeremy (Karma) Kitto, Greg (Karen) Kitto, Joe (Lisa) Kitto, Rebecca (Ben) Pardini, and 9 grandchildren: Cole Merchant, Kayden, Evan, Asher, and Elliana Kitto, Elisabeth Kitto, Landon and Mallory Kitto, Apollo Pardini as well as other friends and extended family.
