Memorial

The youngest of three sons born to Ernest E. and Jean U. Lefebvre on May 30, 1951, Ernest Craig Lefebvre joined his family in heaven on January 23, 2024. His maternal grandparents, Carl and Lena Brunner, raised Ernie after his parents were each killed in separate car accidents before he was two. He grew up with his two older brothers, Randy and Kent, in the town of Onaga, Kansas surrounded by loving, extended family on both sides. Ernie graduated from Onaga High School, Kansas State Teachers College (business major), and Emporia State (MBA). He served on two Boards of Directors: The Englewood Education Foundation and SunPower, Inc. He was a charter and active member of St. Paul Presbyterian Church in Aurora, Colorado. Ernie worked for The Coleman Company and Vickers Oil in Wichita, Kansas; Total Petroleum in Denver, Colorado; Rhythms in Centennial, Colorado; and SunPower, Inc. in Denver, Colorado, a non-profit of which he was extremely proud. It was during his time as chief operating officer of SunPower that he survived a right brain hemorrhagic stroke in late 2007. Although he was left-side afflicted, Ernie still enjoyed all types of mental pursuits. In 2019, Ernie was diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease. Ernie’s survivors include his son, Jordan C. Lefebvre of Centennial, Colorado; his wife, Judi Garvey-Lefebvre of Centennial, Colorado; sister-in-law Lynne Lefebvre of Cincinnati, Ohio; nephew Ross C. Lefebvre of New York, New York; niece Vanessa A. Lefebvre of Cincinnati, Ohio and her son Eli. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and brothers, Randy C. Lefebvre and Kent E. Lefebvre. His final resting place will be in the Onaga Kansas Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held in the spring at the St. Paul Presbyterian Church, 18901 E. Hampden Ave., Aurora, Colorado 80013. Graveside services will be held at the Onaga Cemetery in the spring. All remembrances should be made to St. Paul Presbyterian Church at the address above (listing Memorial Fund in the memo line).
