Irving Dyer
August 12th, 1928 - November 29th, 2010
Irving “Irv” Dyer of Arvada, Colorado passed away November 29, 2010 after a long illness. He was a Korean War Veteran. Irv spent many years as a highly regarded golf instructor. He particularly enjoyed teaching the game of golf to youth. Irv was a much-loved husband, father, grandfather, friend, optimist, golfer and golf instructor. Also, he was a diehard Denver Broncos fan. He enjoyed cookies as his favorite snack and gained the nickname “Cookie Monster”. Irv was preceded in death by his daughter Lisa Knapp. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joanne, son Tim, 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 11, 1:00 P.M. at Wheat Ridge Congregational Church UCC, 6310 West 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
