Melissa Ehrmann

Melissa was born April 13, 1979, in Portales, New Mexico. She passed away October 6, 2017, at University of Colorado Hospital from injuries due to Domestic Violence. Missy is preceded in death by her Dad Paul J. Ehrmann, her Nana Lois Rizzo, and her Grandpa Don Nicolaysen. She is survived by her 23-month-old son Paul, her Momma Maxine R. Ehrmann, her big brother Michael Paul Ehrmann (Elizabeth), her nephew Henry Robert Ehrmann, her Grandma Leola Jones, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Melissa attended Harris Park elementary school in Westminster, Hodgkins Middle School, Thornton Middle School, then went to Thornton High School all 4 years. She competed on the gymnastics team and the track and field team for Thornton High. She loved being a part of the teams and the fun and interactions she had with her teammates. Melissa also did dance classes for 13 years with Diane Caputo at Centre of Dance. She was always excited for the shows and dressing up in the great costumes. Growing up she had great times at Lake Powell, Standley Lake and Lake McConaughy with her family and friends. Some of her favorite activities were waterskiing, playing cards, and doing puzzles. She was always up for a challenge. Her most favorite activity though was playing with her son, Paul. Missy always had pictures to show and would call her Momma on Saturday mornings when they were playing together and share his voice and his laughter. After high school, Missy attended Northeastern Junior College for a semester, then transferred to Pima Medical Institute and became a Medical Assistant. She was hired at Kaiser Permanente in Westminster. She worked at Kaiser for 17 years. She loved her work and all her coworkers. It gave her great joy to be able to help others. Her mission in life was to care for people, and she did it well. Melissa’s strength and love of family, especially, her son, Paul, will always be in our memories. We love you and miss you, our sweet and caring, darling girl.
