Alfred Charles Meads

Alfred Charles Meads, 67, of Fort Collins, CO passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Pathway’s Hospice in Loveland, CO. He was born June 8, 1948 in Greeley, CO to Robert and Arlene Bertha (Walker) Meads. Alfred graduated from Briggsdale High School and received an Associate’s Degree from Aims Community College. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. On May 29, 1971, Alfred married Jenny Hart, who preceded him in death. He married Linda Fisher in Greeley on April 10, 1999. Alfred enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Alfred is survived by his wife, Linda Fisher of Fort Collins; children, Lisa (Merle) Zitek of Grover, CO, Laura Meads of Pine Bluffs, WY, Scott (Brandie) Meads of Grover, Helen (Steve) Schledewitz-McGinnis of Fort Collins, and Jannae (Amanda Crash) Fisher of Fort Collins; grandchildren, Abigail Meads, Bradon Robson, Afton Zitek, Holden Zitek, Kieyara Yingling, and Mekhi Meads; brother, Alan Meads of Greeley; sisters, Nancy (John) Shell of Sterling, CO, Debbie Bymer of Burns, WY, and Sandy (Jerry) Warner of Briggsdale, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Jenny; and brother, Bobby. Viewing will be from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 with funeral service at 11 a.m. both at Adamson Chapel, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634. Interment will be in Briggsdale Cemetery.
