Scharlet Jangula December 25, 1919 " March 8, 2007 Age: 87 Residence: Greeley Tribute: Scharlet L. Jangula was born December 25, 1919 at the family home located in a restaurant building owned and operated by her parents Homer Q. and Myrtle Viola (Haynes) Drinkwater, in Wheaton, Missouri. As a youth she also lived in California and later Oklahoma where she married James Audy Bullard in 1934. They had three children together. Following his death, she married James G. Wade, with whom she had two children. After Mr. Wade’s death in 1949, the new widow and her five children moved to Garden City, Kansas to be near family. Twice widowed, she labored long and exhausting work hours most of her young life doing retail clothing sales and also as a seamstress in order to provide for, and attend to, her five children. They have wonderful memories of mom’s fierce, indomitable, competitive spirit along with tender, protective loving care, and a strong reliance on a loving and caring Lord Jesus Christ. In 1956 she married the love of her life, Mr. Benjamin (Ben) Jangula. They moved to North Dakota along with her two youngest children. The Jangulas were involved in farming and several businesses in Kansas and Texas. Their last business venture was to build and operate "Ben’s Supermarket” in Kersey until illnesses dictated their retirement. The business was then operated for many years as the "R&B Supermarket” by her daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Ron Brungardt. Mrs. Jangula suffered poor health for the past fifteen years, which severely inhibited mobility and interaction with her loving extensive family.
