Michael George Bamrick

Michael Bamrick April 7, 1940 �" March 15, 2007 Age: 66 Residence: Greeley, CO Tribute: Michael G. Bamrick was born in Pierce, Nebraska to John and Dorothy (Retzlaff) Bamrick. When he was two years old the family moved to Scottsbluff, Nebraska where he grew up and attended schools. In 1958 he graduated from Scottsbluff High School and later attended Regis College. During his high school years he played American Legion baseball. On January 14, 1960 he married Donna Hofreiter in Scottsbluff. Mr. Bamrick owned and operated a cattle hauling company and then worked as an independent cattle buyer for thirty years. He enjoyed playing poker and was a finalist in the World Series of Poker Tournament in 1980. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife, fishing and was an avid Denver Broncos fan. While in Scottsbluff he was a member of the Elks Club and the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Bamrick especially enjoyed his family and took great pride in being "Papa” to his seven granddaughters and one grandson. He died Thursday, March 15, 2007 at the Hospice and Palliative Care Inpatient Unit at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. Survivors: Wife, Donna Bamrick of Greeley; daughter, Shelly Perham and husband Kevin of Greeley; three sons, Greg Bamrick and wife Linda of Indianapolis, IN, Chad Bamrick of Boulder, CO, and Cory Bamrick of Loveland, CO; eight grandchildren, Kailey, Bamrick, Elizabeth Bamrick and Michael Bamrick all of Indianapolis, IN, Kaitlyn Perham and Ashley Perham both of Greeley, Jordan Bamrick of Loveland, Alexis Bamrick and Brooke Bamrick both of Parker, CO. He is also survived by three sisters, Jeri Bamrick of Atlanta, GA, Jean Lee and husband Tom of Scottsbluff, NE and Patti Clay and husband Dan of Gering, NE. Preceded in death by: Parents; two sisters, Sharon Bamrick and Debra Bamrick. Memorial Service: 4:00 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Adamson West Chapel in Greeley.
