Doris enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening, working in her yard, playing golf and having coffee or her famous sweet tea with family and friends. Most of all she loved being with her family and watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren in many of their activities. Since being at Grace Pointe she has enjoyed getting to know new friends and connecting with lifelong friends. She will be sorely missed by those who loved her. Doris is survived by her son, Wayne and his wife, Judy; daughter, Dee Ann and her husband, Wayne; four grandchildren, Jodi (Troy) Freauff, Jami (Jeff) Kirkbride, Eric (Amanda) Gustafson, Shawn (Julie) Gustafson; and 17 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Dale (Julie) Brotherton (Northlglenn, CO), Jim (Pat) Brotherton (Centennial, CO) , Tom (Grace) Brotherton (Greeley, CO) , Sister-in-law, Shirley (Donald) Brotherton (Littleton, CO) and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Weaver and Helen Brotherton, two brothers, Donald Brotherton and Merlin Brotherton and her late husband of 67 years, John Gustafson, of Galeton CO. The family would like to thank Grace Pointe and those who provided loving care for Doris over the last 6 ½ years. Especially since the passing of her husband this past year and 8 months. Visitation will be on Monday, October 24, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at Adamson Chapel. A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Adamson Chapel.
