Marie Augusta Bechthold

Marie Bechthold November 14, 1912 �" April 3, 2007 Age: 94 Residence: Windsor, CO Tribute: Marie Augusta Bechthold was born in Oberbauerschaft, Germany to Friedrich and Ilsabein (Becker) Breitenfeld. She grew up in Oberbauerschaft where she received her education. On October 29, 1937 she married Jacob "Jake” Bechthold in Oberbauerschaft. Mrs. Bechthold immigrated to Windsor, CO with her husband and three children in 1952. During her retirement she enjoyed going to and participating in activities at the Windsor Senior Center and traveling with Jake. She was a member of Faith United Church of Christ since 1952 when it was Zion Lutheran Church. Mrs. Bechthold died Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at Bright Assisted Living in Windsor. Survivors: Two daughters, Lore Starck and husband Howard of Saratoga, WY and Edeltraut "Ethel” Condon and husband Bill of Greeley, CO; son, Bruno Bechthold and wife Marietta of Oak Harbor, WA; four grandchildren; Brian Stark, Marvin Stark, Karl Bechthold and Ann-Marion Bechthold; five great grandchildren, Brad, Taylor, Brooke, Jake and Lindon Starck; and numerous nieces and nephews here in the U.S. and Germany. Preceded in death by: Her husband, Jake Bechthold on November 19, 2005; parents; and eleven brothers and sisters. Visitation: 12-2 p.m. Monday, April, 9, 2007 at Faith United Church of Christ in Windsor. Services: 2:00 p.m. Monday, April, 9, 2007 at Faith United Church of Christ in Windsor. Interment: Lakeview Cemetery.
