David D. Baringer

David D. Baringer was born in Laramie, WY to C.B. and Linda Ann (Sherard) Baringer. Mr. Baringer grew up in Burlington, KS and later moved to Torrington, WY. He was married three times and had two children with his wife Mary. They later divorced. Mr. Baringer was a heavy equipment operator and worked several times on projects for the U.S. Government in Antarctica. For his service there he was awarded the U.S. Department of the Navy Antarctica Service Medal. He later co-owned and operated Wyoming Transportation and Logistics Company with partner Travis Engel. Mr. Baringer was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing in Wyoming and studying Indian culture there. Mr. Baringer died April 4, 2007 near Greeley in a construction accident. Survivors: Daughter, Melissa Baringer of Iowa; son, David Baringer of Cheyenne, WY; two grandsons; two sisters; mother, Linda Baringer of Burlington, KS; special friend, Connie Krause of Greeley. Preceded in death by: Father; and grandparents, Ruth Herdt and George and Nola Sherard. Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Cheyenne Hill Church, 7505 US Highway 30 in Cheyenne, WY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to a charity of the donor’s choice.
