Arlene J. Williams February 8, 1923 �" April 14, 2007 Age: 84 Residence: Greeley, Colorado Tribute: Arlene J. Williams was born in Windsor, CO to Henry and Eva (Hankle) Jacoby. Mrs. Williams grew up in the Windsor area and graduated from Windsor High School. On April 10, 1943 she married Fred H. Eiring. They later divorced. On June 28, 1950 she married Clinton C. Williams. He died July 3, 1978. Arlene was a telephone switchboard operator in Windsor for several years. She had been a cook at Park School in Windsor, owned Williams Bakery in Windsor and later in Brush, CO, then cooked at the Brush hospital. After moving to Greeley in 1986, she became active in the Residents Association at Broadview Apartments and with the Senior Nutrition Meals. In 2004 she received the Presidential Volunteer Lifetime Award from President Bush for 5247 hours of service with Retired Seniors Volunteer Program. Arlene enjoyed reading and doing crafts, especially cross-stitch, and embroidery. Mrs. Williams went peacefully in her sleep Saturday April 14, 2007 at Life Care Center of Greeley. Survivors: three daughters; Anne Mayes (Jim Andrews) of Evans, Cathy (Gary) Dahlquest of Meridian, ID, and Maret Williams of Greeley; one son, Henry (Kitryn) Williams of Morrison, CO; three grandchildren, Bobbi (Bill) Sample of Evans, Keith (Sandy) Mayes of Greeley, and Aaron Dahlquist of Meridian, ID. She is also survived by five great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; brother, Fred (Karen) Jacoby of Ft. Morgan; a sister-in-law, Dee Jacoby of Greeley; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by: Parents; both husbands, and brother. L.R.Jacoby. Visitation: 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday April 17, 2007 at Adamson West Chapel. Services: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday April 18, 2007 at Adamson West Chapel. Interment: Lakeview Cemetery in Windsor, CO. Note: Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of Adamson Funeral & Cremation Services 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634.
