Donald Richmond, 73, of Greeley, CO passed away on December 3, 2016 at Fairacres Manor in Greeley. Donald was born on May 19, 1943 in Greeley to John and Imogene (Ford) Richmond. He grew up in Greeley and Thornton, CO and graduated from Mapleton High School in Thornton. Donald joined the United States Marines on May 7, 1962 and was honorably discharged on September 2, 1966. On June 6, 1987 in Broomfield, CO, Donald married Ellen Lois Buus. Donald was a foreman for Rocky Flatts. He enjoyed fishing, anything country and western, and the Denver Broncos. He was a member of Evans VFW Post #6624. Donald is survived by his children, Michael (Rebecca) Richmond of Coal Creek Canyon, CO, Brian (Connie) Allen of Broomfield, and Shelly Richmond of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren, Pamela Richmond, Alexi Richmond, Zolton Richmond, and Beth Allen; and second wife, Liz Richmond. He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife Ellen. A service to celebrate Donald’s life will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9th, 2016 with viewing one hour prior to the service both at Adamson Chapel. Interment will be in Linn Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to "Evans VFW Post #6624” in care of Adamson Funeral & Cremation Services, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634.
