Judith "Judy” Kelly April 11, 1943 �" May 11, 2007 Age: 64 Residence: Greeley, CO Tribute: Judith "Judy” Kelly was born in Greeley, CO to Alex and Helen (Schiebel) Scheetz. She attended grade school at Pleasant Valley and graduated from Greeley High School in 1961. In 1961, she married Richard Kelly; they later divorced. Ms. Kelly’s passion was agriculture. She was a partner with her son, Steve Kelly, in a farming operation northeast of Greeley. Ms. Kelly was selected for Colorado Ag Leadership Program and traveled throughout the United States, Brazil and Argentina with a group of agri-businessman and ag producers. She was the first woman to serve on the Colorado Corn Administrative Committee. Me. Kelly also served on the Colorado Extension Advisory Council, National Corn Growers Action Teams and was honored at the Celebrating Women’s Gala sponsored by the Woman’s Place. Ms. Kelly was a member of the Colorado Corn Growers Association, Colorado Sugar Growers Association and St. Paul’s Congregational Church. Ms. Kelly died Friday, May 11, 2007 at NCMC as a result of Multiple Myeloma. Survivors: Son, Steve Kelly of Greeley; daughter, Stacey Kjeldgaard and husband Ty of Greeley; two grandchildren, Courtney and Kyle Kjeldgaard of Greeley; and sister, Yvonne Dagenhart and husband Robert of Grand Junction. Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2007 at Adamson West Chapel. Note: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the International Myeloma Foundation in care of Adamson Funeral & Cremation Services 2000 47th Ave. Greeley, CO 80634.
