Michael John Buckles

Michael Buckles, 41 of Greeley, CO, formerly of Colorado Springs, CO passed away on February 8, 2017. Michael was born in Niles, MI, but spent most his adolescence in Colorado Springs. He graduated from Mitchell High School where he was an outstanding football player. He was active in Highland Park Baptist Church and went to church camp every summer where he made lasting memories and friends. He graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in Geography and Environmental Studies. Michael married his wife, Sheila, in September 2000 and later they had two beautiful girls to complete their family. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. Michael will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Sheila; daughters, Sydney and Mikayla; parents, Christine (Michael) Oldham and Dennis (Anne) Buckles; brother, Matthew; half-sisters, Angie and Tracey; step-sisters Sara and Leah; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A service to celebrate Michael’s life will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Crossroads Church, 1091 10th Ave, Greeley, CO 80631.
