Lorenzo N. Martinez October 8, 1936 �" March 28, 2009 Lorenzo Nester Martinez, 72, of Greeley died Saturday March 28, 2009 at Bonell Good Samaritan in Greeley. He was born October 8, 1936 in Mora, New Mexico to Amadeo and Julia Martinez. Lorenzo moved to Greeley with his family in 1952. On December 28, 1957 Lorenzo married Esther Rodarte in Greeley. He owned and operated Martinez Construction of Greeley for many years. Lorenzo was an avid pool player, outdoorsman and gambler. Lorenzo is survived by his wife Esther Martinez of Greeley; children Peggy Garcia (Greg) of Eaton, CO, Debbie Wright (Ron) of Brighton, CO, Larry Martinez of Severence, CO, and Greg Martinez of Greeley; grandchildren, Desirae Thompson of Iowa, Megan Roberts (Justin) of Greeley, Mary Beth Garcia of Eaton, Olivia, Dillion, and Garrett, and Maxwell Martinez all of Greeley. He is also survived by his brothers, Manual Martinez (Carol) of Lafayette, CO, and Cip Martinez (Gloria) of Longmont. He is preceded in death by his parents; baby daughter, Delores; three brothers; sister; and parent-in-laws, Jacinto and Indalecia Rodarte. A visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Adamson Chapel with a Recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. and Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church.
