Alberta J. Magill
February 14th, 1935 - April 19th, 2017
Alberta Jean (Scheel) Magill was born on February 14, 1935 in rural Sterling, CO during the worst day of the dust bowl. She loved to tell the story of her birth and the effect it had on her siblings. She married her high school sweetheart, John Robert Magill. They later divorced but remained close and always enjoyed each other's company. Alberta devoted her time to her family as a ‘stay at home ‘Mom until she felt she was not needed at home full time. She was involved in many activities with her children through the years including church camps, Girl Scouts, Blue Birds and various other events. Alberta worked as the LaSalle Town Clerk for many years and many other administrative positions over the years. After she retired Alberta spent much of her time at her home in Greeley, she enjoyed her family and loved all the grand babies and was a great caregiver to all of them. She provided daycare for many of them through the years. Alberta is survived by her sister, Marjorie Ann Scheel, brother, Russell Scheel (Colleen), sister, Opal Finley (Dave), brother, Vernon Scheel (Joyce), son Robert Magill, daughters, Rhonda Evans, Roxana Bracken (Greg) and Juliet Russell (Tom), 11 Grandchildren and 12 Great-grandchildren and counting. Alberta is preceded in death by her father, Henry Aaron Scheel, her mother, Anna (Russell) Scheel, a sister, Loeva Napper Scheel Bloom and brother, Donald Scheel. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday April 24, 2017 at Adamson Chapel with viewing one hour prior.
