Lucinda "Lucy” Maria Martinez, 83, of Greeley, CO passed away Friday, September 8, 2017 at her home. She was born in Douglas, WY on August 3, 1934 to Jose and Juanita (Gallegos) Martinez. Lucy liked to read, take walks, going to church, she enjoyed Wrestling (WWE) the Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies, Avalanche, Country Music and going gambling. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Wheat Ridge, CO. She loved the Virgin Mary. Lucy is survived by her son, Rodney (Julie) Martinez; siblings, Lisa Blackmon, Bertha Davis, Mary Rhode. She is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Susan Lucero, David Martinez, Jerry Martinez Rueben Martinez and Little Joe Martinez. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 1:00 PM followed by a Prayer Service, both at Adamson Chapel on Thursday September 14, 2017 Memorial contributions may be made to the "Alzheimers's Association" in care of Adamson Funeral & Cremation, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634.
