Dr. Jeffery Dale Durr, D.C., 48, of Evans, Colorado died Saturday, July 4, 2009 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. He was born January 25, 1961 in Greeley, Colorado to Donald Dale and Nancy Ann (Hurdle) Durr. Jeff grew up in Evans and Ft. Lupton, Colorado and graduated from Ft. Lupton High School in 1979 where he was Class Valedictorian. He graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Chemistry in 1984 and then from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1988. On September 3, 1994 he married the love of his life, Carrie Dale Graham, in Greeley. Jeff owned and operated Durr Chiropractic Clinic in Greeley for the past 20 years. Jeff was an active member of the Lions Clubs in Greeley where he served in a variety of positions, most recently as treasurer. In addition, he was in charge of the adult eyeglass program and chairman of the Lions Club Pancake Breakfast that is held on the 4th of July each year. While at CU, he served as president of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity and was actively involved in fraternity life. He served as president of the Ashcroft Heights HOA board and in various offices in his Classic Lanes Bowling Leagues. At one time, he was also involved with Partners. Jeff believed in serving his community to the best of his ability. Jeff enjoyed sports of all kinds. He met his wife playing co-ed softball. After many years of playing softball, he hung up his cleats and took up golf. He also was an avid Broncos and Rockies fan, and would spend "Bronco Sundays” with his father watching the game. He had a great sense of humor and a lust for life, which was evident in all he did. He loved his family and friends, and would help those who were in need. He enjoyed learning new things and would read both for knowledge and pleasure. Jeff is survived by his wife, Carrie Durr; and son Michael Durr, both of Evans; father, Donald D. Durr of Greeley; sister, Lori Alexander and husband Gordon, of Ft. Lupton; brother, Mikel Durr and wife Jeannie of Mineral Wells, Texas; father and mother-in-law, Dale and Paula Graham of Greeley; brothers-in-law, Dan Graham and wife April of Longview, TX, Jim Graham of Windsor, and Steve Graham of Greeley; nephew Scott Alexander and wife Crystal of Ft Lupton; nieces Tammy Alexander and Hannah Alexander of Ft Lupton, and Hannah Graham of Longview, TX; grandmother, Ilene Hurdle of Cheyenne, WY; and many other relatives and friends. He also leaves behind his two furry "kids”, KoKo and Monty. He is preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, and several aunts and uncles. Friends may visit from 5:00 �" 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2009 at Adamson Chapel, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 10, 2009 at First Christian Church, 2230 13th Street, Greeley followed by interment at Evans Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Greeley Lions Club in care of Adamson Funeral & Cremation Services, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634.
