Luella May Foss

Luella May Foss, 86, of Greeley, Colorado died Monday, October 2, 2017, at Bonell Good Samaritan in Greeley, Colorado. Luella was born July 22, 1931 to Henry and Eugenia (Leffler) Lind in Windsor, Colorado. Luella grew up and attended schools in Eaton. On December 3, 1950 she married Elmer Foss in Greeley. Luella was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Greeley. Luella worked for Potato Growers in the late 1940s and early 1950’s On the farm she enjoyed raising roses and gardening. Listening to Christian music was a favorite past time. Baking German dishes, including strudel and Anis Seat Brot (Preffernusse bread) were greatly enjoyed by her family. Luella is survived by her sons Eric Foss of Huntington Beach, CA; Craig Foss of Bakersfield, CA; Brian and Vivian (Weinmeister) Foss of Eaton, CO and grandsons Darin and Jared Foss of Eaton, CO. Siblings include Marlene Murray (Roger) of Davenport, Iowa; Ina Vigil (Richard) of Littleton, CO; Arthur Lind of Greensburg, KS; Jerry Lind (Jan) of LaSalle, CO. She is preceded in death by her husband Elmer and son Joel. Also proceeded in death by sibling Albert Lind Sr. of Kersey. The Family of Luella would also like to thank the staff at Bonell for their excellent care during this time. The staff and care provided by Halcyon Hospice was also greatly appreciated by the family. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Thursday October 5, 2017at Adamson Chapel. Funeral Service is 10:00a.m. Friday, October 6, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3000 35th Avenue.
