Harold Ray Schwartzkopf, 56, of Kersey, Colorado died Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at North Colorado Medical Center. Harold was born December 17, 1952 in Torrington, Wyoming to Robert and Helen (Laughlin) Schwartzkopf. He grew up farming in Torrington. He graduated from Torrington High School in 1972. On September 3, 1984 he married Teri Pesicka in Casper Wyoming. A few years after high school he found his career in trucking. He spent 33 years behind the wheel of tankers, refrigerated produce and dry van, but especially enjoyed hauling cattle. Harold’s hobby was buying, restoring and driving antique tractors. He could often be seen on one of his tractors with one of his grandchildren riding along. He had a genuine love for people and could walk into a restaurant and before long would have talked with everyone there. He will be remembered as a good friend once wrote of him, "Harold, you have been a brother, father, and the best damn friend a person could have. You are the complete package”. He is survived by his wife, Teri Schwartzkopf of Kersey; daughter, Billie Jo Schott and husband Jay of Greeley, Colorado; sons, Justin Schwartzkopf and wife Kim of Douglas, Wyoming, K.W.
