Paulino L. Cruz

Paulino Lerma Cruz, Sr. 63, of Lucerne, CO passed away January 22, 2018. He was born June 22, 1954 in Devine, TX to Daniel and Luisa (Lerma) Cruz. He moved to Greeley, CO in 1973 and graduated from Greeley Central High School in 1974. Paul married the love of his life Alicia Olivo in 1974 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Greeley. Paul and Alicia celebrated 43 years of marriage. Paul was an avid sports fan. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, New York Yankees and San Antonio Spurs. He enjoyed watching old western movies and loved spending time with his family. He was a devout Catholic. Paul was a member of St. Mary Parish in Ault, CO and also attended church at Our Lady of Peace and St. Mary Catholic Church in Greeley. He is survived by his wife, Alicia; son, Paulino Cruz, Jr. and wife Anita; daughter, Mary Helen Cruz; grandchildren, Alyssa, Paulina and Leo; brothers, Domingo (Anita) of San Antonio, TX, Esteban (Delia), Benito (Ophelia) all of Greeley; sister, Rosa Flores of San Antonio; many nieces and nephews and ten God children. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Federico Cruz, Rosendito Cruz; and sister, Maria Marquecho. Services include visitation from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018 followed by Recitation of The Rosary at 7 p.m. and Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 26, 2018 all at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1311 3rd Street, Greeley.
