Dallas Pearl Nelson
January 14th, 1928 - February 21st, 2018
Dallas Pearl Nelson, 90, of Greeley, CO and Tampico, IL died Wednesday, February 21 at her home in Tampico. She was born January 14, 1928, to Harry Leslie and Pearl Lottie (Scrugham) Staley in County of LaSalle in Wenona, IL. On May 22, 1944, she married Jesse Ortgiesen in St. Louis, MO. To their union were born two children, Beverly Adamson of Tampico and Rex (Carol) Ortgiesen of Greeley. They divorced January 27, 1960. On July 17, 1967, she married Paul A. Nelson. With that union she extended her family with four more children, Vida (Lynn) Clark of Greeley, Arthur (Carol) Nelson of Loveland, CO, Charles Nelson of Boulder City, NV and Rollin (Molly) Nelson of Cheyenne, WY. Dallas enjoyed home making, sewing, crafts, square dancing, gardening, fishing, camping and traveling to Arizona during the winter months. Preceded in death by her husband Paul A. Nelson; Father and Mother; three brothers, Rex, Jay and Jack Staley; two sisters, Virginia Addington and Norma Staley; two children, Vida Clark and Charles Nelson; and one great grandson. Survivors are her daughter, Beverly Adamson; her sons, Rex (Carol) Ortgiesen, Arthur (Carol) Nelson, Rollin (Molly) Nelson; 22 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild. Services will be at 11:00 am Friday March 9, 2018 at Adamson Chapel. Interment will be in Linn Grove Cemetery, Greeley.
