Dolores Hernandez
April 7th, 1933 - August 3rd, 2018
Dolores "Lola” Hernandez, 85, of Johnstown, CO passed away Aug. 3, 2018 at home in Johnstown. Dolores was born April7, 1933, in Rifle, CO to Manuel and Pulveria (Martinez) Castillo. On Jan. 29, 1950 she married the Love of her life Cipriano Hernandez in Platteville, CO. Dolores worked in a family restaurant, and most of her life as a homemaker who loved to cook and take care of her family. She loved sports of which she Played softball with her daughters in her younger years. And followed her sons, daughters, and grandkids in their sporting events throughout her life. Later in life she enjoyed the Colorado Rockies of which she kept stats in her own notebook. She also enjoyed playing bingo, and cards with all her family. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and was a member of the Holy Family. Survivors are her five daughters, Diane (Oliver) Streeter of Brighton, Christina (Mike) Lopez of Denver, and Genevieve (George) Cordova, Linda (Maurice) Pribble and Berta (Rick) Maestas, all of Johnstown; six sons, Dave (Terry), Joe (Debbie), Matt (Diyiana) all of Johnstown, Ray (Cathy) and Gerard both of Milliken, and Lawrence of Denver; and a brother Tom of Brighton; she had over165 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great, grandchildren, which included five 5th generation families. Her parents, husband, a daughter, three brothers, two sisters, five granddaughters, and one grandson are deceased. Visitation will be at 10:30 a.m. with Recitation of the Rosary at11:30 a.m. Thursday August 9, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1000 Country Acres Drive, Johnstown. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 noon and Interment will be in Johnstown Cemetery.
