Della Rizo

Della Rizo, 66, of Greeley passed away at her daughter’s home under hospice care in Evans. She was born July 18, 1952 in Greeley to Julian and Mercedes (Atencio) Garcia. The family moved to the Denver area and she graduated from Mapleton High School. On September 30, 1972 she married Ramon Rizo at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Della loved to play Bingo, go fishing and camping, playing 7-up card game, gambling in Blackhawk, shopping, crafting and time with her family. Survivors include her husband, Ramon; children, Diane Rizo (Daniel Perez), Melissa Rizo (Jerry Garcia) and Christopher Rizo (Alexandria Orosco); six grandchildren, Issac Rizo, Monica Perez, Athena, Izabella, Christian and Charles Rizo; one great-grandchild, Mia Moralez; mother, Mercedes Garcia; siblings,Tillie Villarreal, Helen Garcia, Stella Lucero, Margie Garcia, Julio (Raeann) Garcia and Philip (Kathy) Garcia. She was preceded in death by her father; two sisters, Mary and Gloria; and a brother, Robert. Visitation 4- 7 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Adamson Life Celebration Home with Recitation of the Rosary to follow at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2019 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow at Our Lady of Peace.
