Ronald George Wambolt
January 6th, 1942 - January 12th, 2019
Ronald George Wambolt, 77, of Greeley, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019. He was born January 6, 1942 in Windsor to David and Margaret (Miller) Wambolt where he grew up and graduated from Windsor High School in 1962. Ronald served in the U.S. Army from 1966-68 in Korea before being honorably discharged. On May 23, 1970, he married Carla Jean Winder at Bethel Lutheran Church in Windsor, celebrating 48 years. Ronald worked as a delivery driver for Sam’s, in security and most recently in candy sales for Tom’s Snacks before retiring. He enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, playing pool and darts and was a member of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Carla of Greeley; brother, David (Jan) of Lakewood and sister, Karen (Reg) Mooney of Victoria, BC, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant son and his parents. Interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 21, 2019 at Sunset Memorial with services to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Adamson followed by a luncheon. Memorial gifts may be made to"St. Jude's Children's Hospital" or "United Way of Weld County” in care of Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, Co 80634.
