Dwayne Lyle Melvin

Dwayne Lyle Melvin, 69, of Log Lane Village, CO died January 3, 2010 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. He was born on January 9, 1940 in Brush, CO to Ellis and Maoema (Ball) Melvin and grew up in Brush where he attended school. He then married Lida Jane McCracken on August 6, 1957, later divorced and then married Carol Dalpe on August 13, 1978. Dwayne owned and operated Morgan County TV and Radio Repair, All Around Sound, and later Total Electronics for the past twenty five years. He retired in 2007. Dwayne enjoyed animals, antiques, old books and hunting. He also enjoyed helping others. He salvaged and kept old TV and radio parts in his garage to use them to fix someone’s radio or TV without having to charge them for parts. Dwayne was a past National Director of the Jaycees. Dwayne is survived by his wife, Carol; daughters, Kristine Gilfoyle and husband Scot of Little Corn Island, Nicaragua and Brenda Wiley of Beaver City, NE; sons, Patrick Melvin and wife Lexie of Vancouver and Kerry Melvin of Ft. Morgan, CO. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Janie Wiley of Beaver City, Jennifer Wiley of Grand Island, NE, Specialist Jack Ben Wiley, Jr. of Bamberg, Germany, Luke and Macy Melvin of Vancouver; and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a great granddaughter. Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday January 30th at 11:00 at Acapulco Bay, 204 Main Street in Fort Morgan.
