Geneva Konig, 81, of Pierce, Colorado passed from us early on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 in the Hospice & Palliative Care Unit in Greeley. Geneva "Jenny” Russom was born in Beech Grove, Arkansas on January 20th, 1928 to Edgar and Cora (Allison) Russom. She attended schools in Beech Grove. As a child she helped to work the family farm. She married Robert Moody and later divorced. She married Ben F. Konig on November 12, 1962 in Mexico. During her younger years she worked for companies such as Space X Aircraft Manufacturers. After moving to Colorado in the late 1960’s she worked as a Traffic Flagger on many road construction jobs along the Front Range. In the mid 1970’s she stayed at home and helped her husband with his construction business. After his death in 1990, she became a food demonstrator at local grocery stores until her retirement in 2006. Geneva was a member of the Women of the Moose, and the auxiliary of the VFW. She loved to attend anything that her grandchildren were involved in, be it sports or band concerts or rodeos. She was very proud of all of them, and loved to tell anyone that would listen about them. Jenny was also an avid Denver Bronco fan, she loved watching the games. She was always up for a trip to go fishing or just to drive around in the mountains. She also enjoyed going to auctions, and gambling trips, and having coffee with her dear friend Pat. She is survived by three daughters, Linda Moody of Grover, Melinda Konig (Wayne Bennett) of Pierce, and Regina (Dale) Probst of Grover; three sons, Elton (Tammie) Moody of Apple Valley, California, Ken (Kathy) Moody of Grover, and Steve Moody of Greeley.
