Eldon Wilfred Schuldt
March 26th, 1915 - September 21st, 2007
Eldin W. Schuldt was born to John and Minnie (Clauson) Schuldt in Elkhorn, NE. After finishing high school at the age of 16, Mr. Schuldt worked for a building contractor for one and a half years before going to the University of Omaha. He finished with a degree in Business Administration. For the next two and a half years he played AAA baseball as a third baseman, then went on to play professionally for the ST. LOUIS CARDINALS as a third baseman. Mr. Schuldt worked for three years with the Elkhorn Oil Company. He was working for Montgomery Wards in York, Nebraska when he was called to serve in the Army in1932. After his service in the Army he returned to Montgomery Wards in Nebraska. He was transferred to Casper, WY where he completed 14 years of service, three of which he was the store manager. He moved to Greeley where he worked for Sherwin Williams Company as an area manager for three years. In 1957, he attended night school at Emily Griffith Opportunity School for 6 months, studying business law. Mr. Schuldt worked 18 years with the Komac Paint Company, where he supervised 28 stores, becoming Vice-President before retiring at age 68. He worked as a self-employed Building Contractor until retiring age 75. He was a very active community member and loved to play golf. He was a member of Kiwanis for 50 years, a member of the Elks Lodge for 37 years and a member of the First Congregational Church for 45 years. Mr. Schuldt died Friday September 20, 2007 at Kenton Manor. Survivors: Son, David Schuldt and wife Alison of Conifer; daughter, Pamela Bohlander and husband Ron of Marietta, GA; step-daughter, Donna Williams and husband Dale of Grand Junction; grandchildren, Matthew Schuldt of Aurora, Lisa Bohlander of Lakewood, Ohio, Jonathan Bohlander of Marietta, GA.; and a sister Lorraine Jepsen of Tucson, AZ. Preceded in death by: Parents; 3 wives, Esther Mowinkle, Gladys McKenzie and MarjorieGleason. Services: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2007 Adamson West Chapel. Visitation: One hour prior to service. Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens Note: In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to 1st Congregational Church c/o Adamson Funeral and Cremation Services 827 5th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80631
