J William Farrow of Evans, CO, lovingly known as Rusty, passed away peacefully surrounded by Mackey and Airports on April 28th, 2019. Rusty is survived by those who are or became his family and close friends: his immediate "famee” includes Mace, April, Anaya, and Raymos Castillo, and his sister Kristi Dommen. He is also survived by Dave, Holly, Natalie, Katie, Sydney Fosdick as well as Marie, Christiana, and Scott Luke. It goes without saying that he is leaving countless friends and extended family behind: truly you know who you are. Most likely Rusty named you his own name and considered you a friend or part of his family. If you were lucky enough, you also would have had a hand sign attached to your name. Rusty traveled to at least 32 states, numerous national parks, Disneyland, Disneyworld, and 17 Major League Baseball Stadiums with his "famee”. These adventures included visiting his sister in San Francisco, meeting Mickey Mouse, auditioning for American Idol, playing frisbee on the beach, visiting his guardian in Chicago, dancing in the rain in Florida, camping beachside in Oregon, seeing buffalo in Yellowstone, and driving by the house where he was born in Cody, WY. When Rusty wasn’t travelling, he enjoyed the simple things in life, like pancakes, dancing, singing, watching James Bond, listening to Kenny Rogers or anything with a good beat, meeting people, and laughing. He was most definitely a Rockies and Broncos fan, and loved anyone who wore a uniform or a cowboy hat, especially those who served our country, police officers, and firefighters. He also couldn’t go anywhere without a flashlight or walkie talkie and a badge. He was a true patriot and would usually salute and sing loud and proud during the national anthem. Rusty had an amazing attitude and approach to life. He often would wake up with a microphone in hand, singing, before he even got out of bed. Also, the couple of times that he did get sick or injured, he never let it deter him from having a good time. The phrases he would say all fill our hearts as we can hear them in the back of our mind: "I like you, do you love me?” "I’s so proud of you!” "Kmarket!” "What happened!?” A couple of our most treasured phrases are when he said "Famee”, "Bacation” and "I’m having a good time!....And, Rusty loved his birthday. According to him, every day, besides Christmas, was his birthday. He would tell people, "Today’s my Birthday ..... two presents?” "How old am I??? .... Forty-Seben!” Rusty’s life cannot be summed up in a few words, but his life touched hundreds if not thousands of people. Most people who met him, fell in love with him, and he had an immeasurable impact on those who got to know him. His most beloved job performance review noted that, "Rusty would prefer to sing, dance, and entertain his peers than he would work.” The joy he was able to bring to every moment, the laughter, the uninhibitedness is a lesson that anyone who met Rusty will remember. All have been completely touched and blessed just by knowing him. in lieu of flowers please make donations for Rusty’s Garden/Tree of Life to Happy Life Nursery.
