Lillian Welsh Oberlander Davis

Lillian Welsh Oberlander Davis, 87, passed away June 9, 2012 in Milwaukie, Oregon. Lillian was born in Yamhill, Oregon on June 26, 1924 to John W. and Mary A. (Larkin) Welsh. Lillian married Arthur W. Oberlander on June 16, 1948 in The Dalles, Oregon. Lillian later married Faires Davis on September 17, 1981 in Reno, Nevada. Lillian grew up in The Dalles, Oregon; she attended Whittier Jr. High and graduated from The Dalles High School; she played intra-mural sports and played in the high school marching band. Lillian worked as a teller for the US Bank in both The Dalles and Oregon City, Oregon. She was a member of the St. Paul’s Episcopal Churches in The Dalles and Oregon City, Oregon. She loved traveling, singing, gardening, reading, writing, poetry and entertaining her grandchildren with her Irish sense of humor. Lillian is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Kae) Oberlander Turner of Oregon; granddaughters, Lisa Turner-Sollers (Matt) of Arizona and Dawne Turner of Washington; daughter-in-law, Debra Oberlander (Bob) of Oregon; grandsons, Justin Oberlander (Wendy), Nathan Oberlander, Ian Oberlander and Devin Oberlander of Oregon; great grandchildren, Reed, Cassondra, Emma, Bella, Austin, Marcus and Tyler. Lillian was preceded in death by her husbands, Art Oberlander and Faires Davis; sons, David Oberlander and Bob Oberlander. Services will be held at Adams Cemetery in Molalla on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at 16856 SE Spray Avenue, Milwaukie, Oregon 97267.
