Betty Ann Shepherd, 82, of Greeley, CO passed away September 29, 2019 at Northern Colorado Acute Care Hospital in Johnstown. She was born October 2, 1936 in Carterville, MO to Richard and Jessie (Chase) Prouty. She married Sam Shepherd on November 11, 1956. Betty worked with Sam at the produce company they owned for over 25 years. She also taught piano lessons, painted beautiful pictures, loved gardening, crafts, cooking, animals - especially birds, traveling, camping and spending time with her family. Betty was a true believer in the lord and enjoyed bible study. She is survived by sons, Daniel (Elena), Andrew, Joe (Jolene); daughters, Susan (Merle), Debra, and Rebecca; 14 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother, John Prouty of Huntington Beach, CA; sister, Mary Nardene of Shalimar, FL; and brother-in-law, Dennis (Mary) Shepherd of Topeka, KS. Memorial service 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Adamson Celebration Center. Memorials may be made to "Humane Society” of donor’s choice or "Cal Farley Boys Ranch” in care of Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, Colorado 80634.
