She had a granddaughter, Jessica Francis Jones, Denver, CO. Ms Jones was a charter member of the Family of Christ Presbyterian Church in Greeley, serving two terms on its leadership Session. After earning her gerontology master’s degree, Ms Jones was an active volunteer in senior citizen’s issues. She served as president of Greeley’s AARP chapter, eight years on the Governor’s Commission on Aging, and eight years on Colorado’s AARP advisory board. She was one of the earliest members of the Greeley Assistance League. She was a former member of the Greeley Retired Teachers Association. She was a lifelong member of the Democratic Party taking an active role throughout the years and served as a delegate to the Democratic County and State Conventions.
