Claire Mae Buderus

Claire Mae "Claire” Buderus, 87 of Greeley passed away peacefully during a short-term stay at Grace Pointe Senior Care Facility on September 22, 2019. She was born on March 18, 1932 in Galeton, Colorado to Clara (Schwabauer) and Fred Heinze, Jr. Following graduation at Galeton High School in 1949, she graduated from Central Business College in Denver in 1950. On September 23, 1951 she married her partner in life, Harold Buderus. They farmed together for 12 years in the Eaton area and then moved to Greeley in 1963 where they continued to operate a dairy farm. When not in the milking barn or in the field, she took care of the record keeping for the farm. Following her retirement from farming, she worked at Colorado Farm Bureau, then with Dr. Robert Dolan and Dr. Gary Rath, and finally at the Cardiology Center at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. She especially enjoyed reconnecting with individuals who were clients and patients. Her smile and warm personality immediately put them at ease. She was a humble woman of faith. It was time with family that she cherished most. Recent highlights included an Alaskan cruise, a wedding in Florida-where she was the last to retire for the night- and multiple day trips to the mountains. These adventures were overshadowed, however, by her love of Christmas. Survivors include her sons, Fred (Barb) Buderus, Ted (Susan) Buderus, Dan (Julie) Buderus, Dwight (Anne) Buderus, three grandchildren, Heather (John) Reagan, Ryan (Lauren) Buderus, Ashley Buderus, and five great grandchildren Brody Meyer, Gavin Meyer, Madison Reagan, Trey Reagan, and Addilyn Buderus, and her brother Walt (Leona) Heinze. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brother Richard Heinze. A Life Celebration will be held at 10 am, Saturday, January 18, 2020, at the Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Ave, Greeley, CO 80634 with a light meal to follow.
