Emma McLean Minty McGregor departed this life December 29, 2019 at Bonnell Good Samaritan in Greeley, Colorado. Emma was born in District of Partick, in the Burgh of Glasgow, Scotland , November 3, 1923, to John and Euphemia Minty. Emma had a sister Nan, brother John, and husband James all have preceded her in death. When she was 8 years old, Emma and her family moved from Scotland and settled in Detroit, Michigan. On October 4,1943 Emma became a U.S. citizen. Upon completing high school Emma became a secretary at General Motors in Detroit where she met James McGregor. They were married July 10, 1948 in Bowling Green, Ohio. Jim's job took his family to many locations but In retirement, Jim and Emma lived on the east bay of San Francisco, CA. In 2000 they moved to Greeley to be closer to their family. Emma will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Emma is survived by; son Bill McGregor (Janet), daughters Shirley Green, and Joanne Wood (Brian), seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Inurnment will be in Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver at a later date.
