Martin Villanueva Moreno

Martin V. Moreno, 90, of LaSalle, passed away on January 23, 2020 at NCMC. He was born September 23, 1929 in Catarina, TX to Manuel and Juanita (Villanueva) Moreno. He came to Greeley over 65 years ago and worked farm labor early in his life. He met and later married Socorro Jaramillo on August 20, 1955 at Our Lady of Peace. Martin detailed cars for Ghent Chevrolet and then Garnsey & Wheeler before joining Kodak where he worked for 20 years before retiring. He enjoyed coin collecting, board games, music and dancing and the Denver Broncos. He attended the Rodarte Center and Our Lady of Peace. Survivors include his children; Martha (Gabriel) Gutierrez, Virginia (Paul) Trinidad, Doralia (Francisco) Cortez, Alma (Juan) Arias, Maria Elena (Alvin) Roybal, Adrian Ramirez and Richard Moreno, daughter-in-law, Jovita Ramirez, 25 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 4 great, great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Socorro, son Amalio Ramirez, three brothers and one sister and his parents. Visitation 5-7 p.m. Monday followed by the Rosary at 7 p.m. at Adamson. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow at Adamson. Friends may leave condolences at AdamsonCares.com.
