Dona Roberts

Dona G. Roberts March 13, 1938 – April 1, 2020 Dona Roberts, 82, of Greeley passed away April 1, 2020 at Life Care Center surrounded by her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was born on March 13, 1938 in Denver, Colorado. Dona was the daughter of Alice Denney (Shaw). They later moved to Lewellen, Nebraska where she attended school and met her high school sweetheart, Myron. She attended school in Lewellen, Nebraska & Julesburg, Colorado. Dona married Myron Roberts in October of 1954. They lived in Omaha & Lincoln, Nebraska, and then settled in Greeley, Colorado. They later divorced. Dona was a homemaker and the Manager for Dolly Madison Thrift store in Greeley for many years. Dona loved spending all holidays and celebrating birthdays with her family. She loved taking day trips to Estes Park; she was the best window shopper ever! She always looked forward to traveling out of town for sporting events. Dona was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s #1 fan in all their activities. When she wasn’t busy with her family, she enjoyed watching the Cornhuskers, Broncos, Nuggets and Rockies. Dona is survived by children, Douglas (Kristi) Roberts, Dan (Stacie) Roberts, Cheri (MJ) Garza and Julie (Bob) Meyer; Grandchildren, Josh (Shannon), Casey (CJ), Dillon Roberts, Amber Rodarte, Dani, Lyndsie, Chelsie & Nick Roberts, Tasha, Kenzie & Ally Jo Garza, Matthew (Ashley) & BJ Meyer; Great grandchildren, Emma, Klara, River, Parker, Austyn, Atiya, Blake, Carson, Carter and Madison; siblings, Bonnie Ulrich and Jim Krueger. She was preceded in death by her Mother; sister, Faye Sheppard and ex-husband, Myron. Her children would like to thank the Nurses, CNA’s, Dining room staff, and everyone else at Life Care in Greeley & the staff at Suncrest Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution in Dona Robert’s name can be made to Suncrest Hospice or Life Care Center of Greeley in care of Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, Colorado 80634.
