Daniel Joseph Pinner

Daniel "Dan” Joseph Pinner, age 37, of Greeley passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, April 18, 2020 of symptoms consistent with Covid-19. Final test results are still pending. Dan was born on April 10, 1983 in the middle of a blizzard in Greeley, Colorado. Dan graduated from Greeley West High School in 2001 and also completed 2 years of study at AIMS Community College followed by studies at Regis University. He worked at State Farm Insurance, and then Colorado Farm Bureau before starting his own insurance company: Pinner Insurance, Inc. He was thrilled to be a father to his two young sons; they were his greatest pride and joy. He loved taking them hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park, camping at Pingree Park, and on day-trips across the state, and just spending quality time together. He shared his computer skills with his oldest son this past Christmas as he taught 7 year old Dexter to build his own computer. He was an avid Star Trek fan, lover of new and exciting technologies, and followed the details of the SpaceX Space Program. As an amateur photographer, Dan's talents and skills were formidable. He became an excellent cook in the past few years, exploring different cuisines and really enjoyed cooking for his boys and others. He was the kindest soul, and would go above and beyond to help anyone in need. He is survived by his beloved two sons, Dexter (age 7) and Dillion (age 5) Pinner, and their mother, Dan's former spouse, Susan Pinner, all of Greeley, CO; parents, Cindy and R.S. "Joe” Pinner III, of Greeley, CO; sister, Kari (Jordan) Frizzell of Olympia, WA; nieces Clara and Laura Frizzell of Olympia, WA; Aunts and Uncles; Cousins; and numerous friends. Dan is preceded in death by his grandparents: Dale and Noreen Ewing of Fort Lupton, CO, Marjorie Pinner Griffin of Washington, NC, and Richard S. Pinner Jr. of Fairfield, PA. Arrangements will be handled by Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634. A Life Celebration will be held at a later date.
