Ronald Ivan Schmunk 8/20/1931 ~ 5/1/2020 Ronald Ivan Schmunk (88) of Eaton, CO. passed away on Friday, May 1, 2020 in his home, surrounded by his family. Born August 20, 1931 in Windsor, CO to Jake (Molly Schultz) Schmunk, he grew up in Windsor, and attended schools in Fort Collins, Wyatt (Ault) and AIMS Community College. He married Mary Ann Schott in Greeley on February 20, 1954 (66 years together). He was the founder/owner of Timberwood Café in Kersey (1963). He drove a semi-truck for 66 years before retiring. He delivered for American Fertilizer Company, Schlitz Beer, Warnaco Milk, Miller Brothers, DESCO, Highland Feeders and Agfinity. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from December 1950-October 1952, while stationed in Bartlesville, OK. He was a Corporal in the 139 AC + W Sq Boulder Radar Training Station Motor Pool. Ronald is preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann, his parents Jake and Molly, his son Russell, his sister Lorraine Printz of Greeley, and brother Melvin, of Eaton, and Ronald’s twin brother Donald, of Greeley. Ronald is survived by his daughter Patricia (Larry) Daily, son Randall, grandson Scott Geyer, all from Eaton. And he is survived by his sister Beverly (Robert) McConville, of Greeley. Honorary Pallbearers; Ed Printz, Doug Printz, DuWayne Schmunk, Gary Schmunk, Allen Schmunk, Michael McConville. Private family Graveside interment service will be Friday, May 8, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greeley, with Celebration of Life Service to follow at a later date. Contributions can be made to the Ronald Ivan Schmunk Memorial Fund c/o Adamson’s Life Celebration Home, or Accent Care Hospice of Loveland in c/o Ronald Ivan Schmunk.
