Thomas Robert Bay February 2, 1928-January 9, 2015 Tom was born in Buena Vista, Colorado to Lillian Beatrice Poplin “Sue” and John Melvin Bay February 2 1928. They moved to Portland in 1943 so his parents could work in the shipyards during WW II and where he attended Roosevelt High School. After graduating in 1946 Tom joined the Army in June and served until November 1947 in Korea. He married Dolores Bamber January 28, 1949. July 26, 1951 they had a daughter Bobbie and on March 31, 1955 they had a son Tom. Tom and Dolores were married over sixty years. He worked for Western Electric and AT&T for thirty seven years. During that time he attended Portland Community College studying psychology and business management. For fifteen years he worked with the Portland Amateur Hockey Association. He was an active member and elder of Lents Baptist Church. What Tom and I will miss most is Dad’s quiet strength, his unfailing love and never ending encouragement and support. He is survived by daughter Bobbie, son Tom and sister Suzy Oakes of Littleton, Colorado. Papa, rest in the arms of God and the angels. Service Information
