Juan F DeLaRosa went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 24th, 2020 in Loveland, Colorado. He was born to Epifano and Longina DeLaRosa in Bancroft, Iowa on October 20, 1928 and was raised in San Antonio Texas with 4 brothers and 4 sisters. He enlisted in the Army in 1950 and served in the Korean War until 1952 when he was honorably discharged. On July 4th, 1953 Juan met Mary Velasquez at the Greeley Independence Day Stampede. They were married on June 20, 1956 and made their own fireworks for 54 years. Juan loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and enjoyed camping with his friends and family. There are many fun family memories of camping and climbing the Great Sand Dunes. He was also an avid gardener and once had three large garden plots. Juan once said he liked gardening and being outside because there is only so much tv you can watch. Being a child of the depression few things were beyond his scope. If he needed something he would either make it or fix it himself. He worked in the farming industry, concrete and as a truck driver. Juan accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in the 1960's and he made it his mission to witness to his friends and family. His desire was that all would come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior. Juan was very involved in and loved his church Highland Hills Free Will Baptist Church. Juan is survived by his 4 children; Isidro (Shannon) DeLaRosa, Patricia (JR) Brown; Juan (Cindy) DeLaRosa Jr and Angelina DeLaRosa; brothers Emilio (Josie) and Epifano of San Antonio: sisters Elvira and Delfina (Alvino) both of San Antonio; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Juan’s Life Celebration will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 8, 2020 at Adamson followed by interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may leave condolences at AdamsonCares.com.
